Building the 'Do It' Attitude: The Power of Mindset and Environment
"Do it" isn’t just a word—it’s an attitude that you build gradually. When I was a kid, I would start things with full enthusiasm, excited and eager to do them quickly. But without a sense of urgency, I often fell behind. My energy would drain, and I’d give up on projects. Looking back, I realize that making mistakes and failing was part of the learning process. If any young person feels the same way, I want to say that it’s all about your mindset.
To build the right mindset and attitude, the people around you matter. You can’t always get lucky and find a group of people who encourage and push you to do better, but that’s where choice comes in. If you waste your time with people who aren’t productive or goal-oriented, you won’t develop that "Do It" attitude. The same way a cub becomes what its environment allows, you, too, are shaped by your surroundings. If you want to adopt the "Do It" attitude, you must first create an environment that fosters growth, motivation, and productivity. Surround yourself with the right people, and you’ll be surprised at how your mindset shifts.
