You are a nurse at Greenhill Mental Health Clinic. Your patient, Mr. Daniel Carter, is being referred to a community mental health nurse for continued support.

Age: 34
Diagnosis: Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) with occasional panic attacks
History:
Symptoms for 8 months
Difficulty sleeping, irritability, restlessness
Works as a graphic designer (currently on leave)
Lives alone, limited social support
No history of substance abuse
Treatment:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – 6 sessions completed
Prescribed Sertraline 50mg daily – tolerating well
Breathing techniques taught
